Background of Agricultural Science Park Development

Development of Agricultural Science and Technology Park is based on Nawa Cita from President Joko Widodo, one of which is “Improving people’s productivity and competitiveness in international market”. Nawa Cita is described in the program build a number of Science Park ( Science Park ) and Technological Park (Techno Park ).
In accordance with the 2015 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture through the Indonesia Agency for Agricultural Research and Development (IAARD) is tasked to build 5 Agricultural Science Parks (TSP) in the Experimental Garden area of ​​the Agricultural Research Agency and 16 Agricultural Technology Parks (TSP ) at the district / city level. In addition, Kementan also has a program to develop the National Agricultural Science and Technology Park (TSTPN), which is centered in Cimanggu, Bogor, West Java.

Development Objectives of Agricultural Science and Technology Park

The purpose of development of Agricultural Science and Technology Park (TSTP) are:

1. Improving the implementation and transfer of technology R & D results Ministry / LPNK Research and Technology, universities, and private to the community.
2. Establish integrated agricultural modeling pilots that integrate agriculture, livestock and fisheries in a continuous upstream-downstream cycle based on local resources.
3. Improving the quality of skilled and independent human resources in the field of agrotechnology and agribusiness.
Policy Direction (In accordance with RPJMN 2015-2019)

The development of the National Science and Technology Park is directed to serve as:

1. Center for advanced science and technology development.
2. An entrepreneurship growth center in advanced technology.
3. Technological service centers advanced for business and industry.
Development of Agricultural Science Park (TSP)

Development of Agricultural Science Park is directed to serve as:

1. Latest knowledge provider by local university lecturer, researcher from government institute, and science expert ready to apply for economic activity.
2. Provider of unfinished technological solutions in the Garden of Agricultural Technology.
3. As an advanced technology application development center for the local economy.
